Meheri Tamanna is a senior lecturer at the Department of Economics and Social Sciences since 2009. Before joining as a full time faculty she worked part time at ESS from 2006-2008. She holds a Master of Social Sciences (with concentration in Public Administration) from the University of Dhaka and a Master in Development Studies (with concentration in Governance and Democracy) from the Institute of Social Studies (ISS), The Hague, Netherlands. She attended Ochanomizu-GDS/AIT Student Exchange in 2019, supported by Institute of Gender Studies, Ochanomizu University, Japan. Currently she is pursuing her PhD in Gender and Development Studies at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.

Nant May Than Htay

Assistant Research Director

Nant May Than Htay is an experienced professional with nearly a decade of technical and operations expertise in women’s and youth empowerment, climate change, disaster risk reduction, and community development sectors in Myanmar. She holds a Master of Science in Gender and Development Studies from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, along with diplomas in Secretarial Management and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Yangon University of Economics and Yangon University of Distance Education, respectively. Nant’s extensive career includes roles such as Gender Academic Coordinator and Communication Archive at WePower-SAR 100/ Large Systems Training Program and Gender Specialist at Zenith Quality Consultancy. She has contributed significantly to various projects and initiatives focused on gender equality, inclusive development, and disaster resilience across Myanmar.
