Suban Kumar Chowdhury serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations at the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He earned his Master of Science in Gender and Development Studies from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, in 2021, as a recipient of the Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP). Suban also holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, both obtained from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Suban’s research interests encompass gender, education, maternal health, and borders, with a specific emphasis on employing a feminist lens to investigate these critical issues.

He has contributed to numerous international journals, including “International Affairs (OUP),” “Gender, Place & Culture (Routledge),” “International Sociology (SAGE),” and “BMC Pregnancy Childbirth (PLOS ONE)”. Dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field, Suban aims to undertake advanced research in refugee education, with a goal of contributing to the development of effective policies and programs for refugees globally.

In his capacity as the Associate Editor of “Thinking a loud,” a monthly digest curated by ENRC, he serves as a key orchestrator in the widespread dissemination of profound insights and knowledge within the academic community.
